Dr. Shilpa Gowda

The medical specialty of occupational and environmental medicine focuses on the human health impact of physical, chemical, biological, social, and psychosocial factors in the environment, both at home and at work. The specialty incorporates health promotion, disease prevention, diagnosis, and care of individuals; hazard assessment and risk management of populations; and research and policies that seek to prevent adverse occupational and environmental health outcomes for present and future generations.
